‘Kentucky Reloaded’ Documentary Spotlights Incoming Wildcats

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUjpjJSy-1w]

The documentary “Kentucky Reloaded” by Edgar Burgos and FRESH FOCUS SPORTS follows the 4 All-Americans going to the University of Kentucky in 2016. De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, Edrice ‘Bam’ Adebayo and Wenyen Gabriel participate in their final high school event, the Jordan Brand Classic.

I’m interviewed toward the end of the piece, and Tom Konchalski, Michael Scotto and Russ Bengston all chime in as well.

The incoming Kentucky backcourt of Monk and Fox won co-MVPs in Friday night’s game at Barclays Center, with Fox going for 23 points and 5 rebounds in the East’s 131-117 victory over the West. Monk went for 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in the loss. Both players received their MVP awards from Carmelo Anthony — and everyone in the game met Michael Jordan beforehand.

The 6-foot-10 Adebayo, who went for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists for the East, also impressed NBA scouts during the week in New York.

Meantime, Kentucky coach John Calipari is already off meeting with and recruiting his 2017 and ’18 targets who starred at the Nike EYBL stop in Brooklyn this past weekend, including Mohamed Bamba, Hamidou Diallo, Kevin Knox, John Petty and Tremont Waters in the Class of 2017 and Marvin Bagley in the Class of 2018.
