Quade Green Hoping to Commit by September

NEW YORK Quade Green hasn’t cut his list yet, but would like to make a decision in September.

The 6-foot point guard, who helped the PSA Cardinals go undefeated this weekend at the Nike EYBL stop in Brooklyn, is ranked No. 41 on ESPN’s Top 60 for the Class of 2017.

“Hopefully, I commit in September,” he said on Saturday. “That’s when I want to.”

Green said Syracuse, Texas, Xavier, Villanova, Temple, St. Joe’s, Providence, Louisville and Michigan State are just some of the schools competing the hardest for his commitment.

He has already visited Syracuse, Villanova, Temple, Saint Joe’s and Rutgers, and said he plans to visit Louisville, Miami and Michigan State.

Green and his teammate Mohamed Bamba – ESPN’s No. 4 recruit for the Class of 2017 – helped the PSA Cardinals to exciting victories over Cal Supreme on Saturday and over the NY Rens on Sunday. Against Cal Supreme, Green led his team in scoring with 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting. In the Rens game, Green went for 18 points, 11 assists and 3 steals.

The star-studded matchup that also featured Supreme’s DeAndre Ayton and Brandon McCoy – the No. 1 and No. 9 recruits on ESPN’s Top 60 for 2017 – attracted the attention of a lot of college coaches.

Jim Boeheim, Roy Williams, John Calipari, Bill Self, Kevin Ollie and John Beilein were just a few of the high-profile coaches watching the matchup.

“This is my first EYBL game ever so, I was nervous,” Green said. “I saw Calipari, Roy Williams. I was just nervous out there. But first two minutes, and you start getting in a roll.”

When asked if he and Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree – his teammate at Neumann-Goretti High School in Philadelphia – would consider being a package deal in college, Green declined to answer.

“Quiet is kept,” he said.
