Fresh off his MVP performance in Saturday’s Nike Hoop Summit, Terrance Ferguson has committed to Arizona, he announced on Wednesday via Twitter.
All signs had pointed to Arizona as that was the only visit the 6-foot-7 shooter had taken since decommitting from Alabama on March 1.
He also considered Baylor, Kansas, Maryland, North Carolina and N.C. State.
The Wildcats rebounded quickly from losing out to Kansas on Josh Jackson by adding Ferguson, who drained a record seven three-pointers as the USA routed the World Team, 101-67, in Portland, Ore.
Ferguson will join a strong recruiting class that already includes guards Kobi Simmons and Rawle Alkins and power forward Lauri Markkanen.
Ferguson won a gold medal last summer at the U19 World Championship in Greece with Team USA under Arizona coach Sean Miller.
Ferguson, out of Advanced Prep International (TX), ended his high school career Saturday by going 7-for-11 from three with six coming in a few minute span during the second quarter. The previous record of six was held by Xavier Henry (2009) and Casey Jacobson (1999).

“I had a hot hand and the players kept feeding me so I kept shooting,” he said then. “I just have to put some hand in some ice to cool it down. I didn’t even want to touch the mic because it might catch on fire.”
