Following an official visit to Stanford over the weekend, Kodye Pugh, a 6-foot-8, 195-pound small forward from Blair Academy, committed to The Cardinal for 2016-17.

Pugh held offers from 22 schools, including Florida, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Georgetown, Seton Hall and Northwestern.
He joins 6-10 center Trevor Stanback in Coach Johnny Dawkins’ 2016 class.
“I’m really glad I had the opportunity to coach KP for a year,” Blair coach Joe Mantegna said. “He is a first class young man and did absolutely everything we asked of him at Blair.
“As much as we would love to have him back next year, it is difficult to pass up a free Stanford educaiton and the opportunity to play for Coach Dawkins , who is simply one of the good guys in the business.”
Pugh had initially reclassed to 2017 from 2016.
“He is a super-skilled with a huge upside,” We R1 coach Terrell Myers told SNY. tv. when Pugh transferred to Blair. “In my eyes, that makes him one of the top three wings in his class. KP is fairly young for his grade. The extra year will help him develop physically and emotionally.
“He is an exceptional student and has qualified academically.”
