Hamidou Diallo took an unofficial visit to Maryland on Sunday for the Terps win over Michigan and enjoyed his trip.
A 6-foot-6, 195-pound Class of 2017 guard from Putnam Science Academy (CT), Diallo recently scored his 1,000th career point.
“I loved the atmosphere at the Maryland-Michigan game,” Diallo told SNY.tv. “The fans were awesome and the arena was packed. Maryland has a really nice campus and great facilities as well.”
Diallo met with Terps coach Mark Turgeon.
“Coach said for me to just look at how much freedom he gives his guards to play their game as long as they are getting it done defensively.”
He will next visit Syracuse on Saturday for an unofficial visit for the N.C. State game, as will 2016 commit Matthew Moyer of South Kent (CT).
“I will be taking an unofficial to Syracuse on Saturday,” he said.
Ranked No. 14 in the Class of 2017 by ESPN.com, Diallo holds offers from Kansas, UConn, Syracuse, St. John’s, Indiana, Louisville, N.C. State, Seton Hall, Florida, Villanova and others.
“All schools have been recruiting me hard right now,” Diallo said. “I don’t have any early favorites. Just enjoying the process right now.”
