I saw these guys twice at Madison Square Garden this past fall and they were tremendous with John Mayer fronting the group — the best post-Jerry Garcia incarnation of The Dead I’ve seen.
Bobby Weir seemed revitalized alongside the younger Mayer and Oteil Burbridge — he of The Allman Brothers Band — was his usual force on the bass.
