Villanova Hosting Slew of Bigtime Recruits for Hoops Mania

bambaVillanova is expected to host a slew of big time recruits for their Hoops Mania on Friday night, including 2016 commits Omari Spellman and Dylan Painter and 2017 big man Mohamed Bamba (pictured), sources told SNY.tv.

The list of expected recruits includes Jordan Tucker, Scottie Lewis, Brian Antwan, Cole Anthony, D.J. Harvey, Noah Locke, Marcus Littles, Quade Green, Dahmir Cosby Roundtree, Lonnie Walker, Cameron Reddish, Jahvon Quinerly, Jalen Smith, Brandon Randolph and Najja Hunter. The 6-foot-7 Tucker out of White Plains (N.Y.) Stepinac told SNY.tv he wasn’t sure if he would make it.

The 6-foot-11 Bamba out of Westtown (Pa.) holds numerous offers, including from Kentucky and Duke, but has yet to form any sort of list.

“I firmly believe that Mohamed Bamba will be the No. 1 player in 2017 as a senior,” his AAU coach, Terrance “Munch” Williams, told SNY.tv.

“Villanova is a class-act university,” he added. “They’re doing a phenomenal job in the Big East and they do a great job with having a balanced offensive attack. I think the sky’s the limit for them and they’re primed to have a really good season this year.”

The Wildcats were the unanimous pick to win the Big East this season by the league’s coaches.
