Recruiting Roundup: Weekend Road Trips

Road TripFollowing a busy week in which college coaches criss-crossed the country to visit with their priority recruits, many of of those recruits will hit the road for official visits.

Here’s a rundown that will be updated over the weekend. For more detail on any player, click the embedded link near their name:

*Seton Hall has a big weekend on the recruiting front. Kevin Willard’s club is hosting Bryce Aiken, a 5-11 point guard from Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick’s, and Myles Powell, a 6-2 shooting guard from South Kent (CT). Sources say Powell likes Seton Hall a lot, while Aiken will visit Miami next weekend after having visited Harvard. He will then decide between the three schools.

 

**Kentucky hosts 6-7 Huntington (W.V.) Prep small forward Miles Bridges, who is also considering Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina and Kansas.

 

**Coming off recent visits to Alabama and Kentucky, 6-10 DeSoto (TX) big man Marques Bolden visits Duke.

 

**Wake Forest gets the first shot at 6-10 Harry Giles, the No. 1 player in the Class of 2016 out of Oak Hill Academy (VA). He also visits Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina and Duke in October. For more, read here.

 

**North Carolina hosts Brandon Robinson, a 6-5 shooting guard from Douglasville (GA) Douglas County who is also considering Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Florida State.

 

**LSU hosts Katy (TX) Cypress Lakes point guard De’Aaron Fox, Chattanooga (TN) Hamilton Heights Christian Academy center Abdullah Ado and junior college big man Duop Reath of Lee (TX) College. Fox will also visit Kentucky, Kansas and Louisville in coming weeks.

 

**Alabama hosts 6-6 shooting guard Ar’Mond Davis, who recently decommitted from Memphis and then visited Texas A&M last weekend. He goes to LSU next weekend. The Tide also hosts 6-8 small forward Oak Hill Academy (VA) small forward Braxton Key. Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Kansas are also involved for Key.

 

**Kansas has a big weekend in which it hosts 6-8 power forward Mitch Lightfoot from  Gilbert (AZ) Christian and 6-10 center Udoka Azubuike of Jacksonville (FL) Potters House Christian. Lightfoot will also visit St. John’s and Arizona in October.

 

**Arizona State hosts Mario Kegler, a 6-6 small forward from Oak Hill Academy (VA). He visits Penn State next weekend and will also trip to Indiana, Maryland and possibly Mississippi State.

 

**Oregon hosts 6-4 Bentonville (AR) guard Malik Monk, who will take officials to Kansas, Kentucky and Arkansas in October. The Ducks also host power forward M.J. Cage, the son of former NBA player Michael Cage.

 

**Miami hosts 6-3 combo guard DeJon Jarreau and 6-9 power forward Brison Gresham, both of of New Orleans (LA) McDonogh 35. The pari will also visit UMass, Oklahoma and USC.

 

**Cincinnati hosts Hutchinson (KS) wing Bashir Ahmed, who will also trip to St. John’s and Louisville.

 

**Mizzou hosts Mitchell Smith, a 6-8 center from Van Buren (AR), and Willie Jackson, a 6-6 small forward from Cleveland (OH) Garfield Heights.

 

**Christian Vital, a 6-2 point guard out of St. Thomas More, visits UNLV.

 

**Tyler Cook, a 6-8 power forward from St. Louis Chamindae, visits Iowa.

 

**Providence hosts Wesleyan Christian wing Jalen Johnson.
