Marques Bolden Cuts to 8; Kentucky Visit on Tap Wednesday (UPDATED)

4_2971302Marques Bolden, a 6-foot-10 power forward/center from DeSoto (TX), has cut his list to eight schools and will take an official visit to Kentucky on Wednesday, his father told SNY.tv..

Bolden is down to Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Oklahoma, TCU, Alabama, Baylor and Wake Forest.

He recently took unofficials to Wake Forest and Alabama. Now the Kentucky official comes this week, with visits to Duke set for Sept. 18 and Kansas Sept. 25.

“[Kentucky], their interest is pretty high,” Marques Bolden told SNY.tv in June. “[Coach John] Calipari and my dad talk. He’s just been telling him to tell me to keep working. I’ve been talking to [assistant] Kenny Payne a lot myself. The message is keep working and he thinks I’ll be a special player, like the rest of the guys they coach.”
