Bryce Aiken Sets Five Official Visits

AikenBryce Aiken has set his five official visits for this fall.

The 5-foot-11 point guard from the PSA Cardinals and Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick will visit Harvard (9/9), Seton Hall (9/18),  Miami (9/23) and USC 10/3. He also has a tentative visit set to Michigan (10/8).

Illinois is no longer under consideration.

Aiken broke down all of his schools here:

Miami – “Coach [Jim] Larrañaga and Coach [Chris] Caputo do a terrific job of recruiting not only me but my family as well. The staff believes in my abilities as a player, looks forward to putting the ball in my hands and allowing me to run the team. The location of the school is superb, being in Coral Gabels, Florida.”

USC – “The PAC-12 is known for being beneficial for allowing smaller guards to work and making the Pick-Roll game more effective. Knowing my game, I know that I would be able to flourish with that style of play. The University’s academics is also excellent.”

Harvard – “The No. 1 school in the world. The term ‘student-athlete’ is thrown out there a lot nowadays and most basketball players aren’t looking for academics and take high-academic schools for granted. Coach [Tommy] Amaker believes that I can take their program to the next level and I will play immediately.”

Michigan – “It is a big time school where I will be placed on a platform to play in front of thousands to showcase my game. In recent years, they’re guards have become pros and I know that I can be the next one with the help of Coach [John] Beilein and Coach Val.”

Seton Hall – “What athlete wouldn’t love to stay in their home state to play ball? A tremendous family atmosphere they have there and I have an opportunity to join that group!”
