Wendell Carter Jr. Adds A Bunch of High-Major Offers

4_2971152Arizona, LSU, California and North Carolina are the latest high-major programs to offer 6-foot-10 2017 big man Wendell Carter Jr.

Carter Jr. told me at the Peach Jam that Duke was recruiting him the hardest.

“Probably Duke, they are probably the very top school that’s working the hardest,” Carter Jr. said then.

“I hear from them every day, both Coach K and coach [Jeff] Capel.”

Carter Jr. and fellow U16 gold medalist Gary Trent Jr. had previously discussed a potential Duke package deal with SNY.tv and that is still on.

“Yes,” Carter Jr. said. “It would be pretty good but we’re looking around. We’re looking around.”

Both players will be on the Nike trip to the Bahamas this week, as will Duke commit Jayson Tatum and several other Duke targets.
