Braxton Blackwell Cuts to Six Schools

4_2942267Braxton Blackwell, a 6-foot-8 small forward who will transfer to Oak Hill (VA) Academy this year, has cut his list to six schools.

“It was really hard to cut off some schools,” Blackwell told Scout.com. “There were some really good schools recruiting me. I feel really good about these six – Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, Kansas and Virginia. I feel really good about them.”

A Tennessee native ranked the No. 8 small forward in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports.com, Blackwell told Scout he plans to commit before the season begins at Oak Hill in the fall.

“I want to see all six,” he said. “I know you can only take five. Tennessee and Vanderbilt are really close. I’ll probably take an official to Vanderbilt and an unofficial Tennessee.”
