Cal’s once vaunted 2015 recruiting class has taken a bit of a hit.

Davon Dillard, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Centereach (N.Y.) Our Savior New American, flipped to Oklahoma State from Cal, sources confirmed to SNY.tv.

“He had a change of heart,” coach Eric Jaklitsch told Scout.com. “He’s going to be a real nice player for them. He wanted to go to a school that he would fit in well and he is.”

An athletic wing player who can stroke it from beyond the arc, Dillard committed to Cal on March 1 after also considering Creighton, Indiana, Pitt and Purdue.

Dillard is ranked as a three-star prospect by Rivals and No. 132 overall in the 2015 class.

“He’s a terrific athlete, shoots the 3,” longtime New York recruiting expert Tom Konchalski told SNY.tv. “Not fully a skilled three-man yet, but very athletic and that’s a good get for them.

“He’s a big-time athlete, he has a BCS body and he’s gotta continue to elevate his skill level. When I first saw him I thought he was more of an under-sized four, but he’s an effort guy, a guy who does play hard. His problem is not focus, he’s gotta flesh out his perimeter skill set.”5 class.

Meantime Tyson Jolly, a 6-4 shooting guard from Oklahoma City (OK) Putnam City who had committed to Cal in April for 2015, will instead attend prep school this year and then attend Cal beginning in 2016, a source confirmed. Scout first reported it.

Cal still has big man Ivan Rabb and wing Jaylen Brown, the projected No. 2 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, coming in for the 2015-16 season. The Bears also landed 6-8 forward Roman Davis of Los Angeles Windward, according to Scout.
