Syracuse Latest to Offer 2017 Big Man Nick Richards

Nick Richards added an offer from Syracuse on Wednesday, following offers from Kansas and UCLA.

“[Assistant coach Adrian Autry] told Nick they saw him play in The EYBL and were impressed with him,” St. Pat’s coach Chris Chavannes told SNY.tv. “They thought his game, size, and length would fit their system very well. He said in 2017 when Nick comes in he would have a great opportunity to contribute right away.”

Syracuse has done well with New Jersey players in recent years. Their incoming class features guard Malachi Richardson and forward Moustpaha Diagne. In recent years, point guard Tyler Ennis and forward Tyler Roberson have both come from the Garden State.

The 6-foot-10 2017 big man who runs with Expressions Elite also has interest from North Carolina, Villanova and UConn, among others.

A sophomore who transferred in October from St. Mary’s High School on Long Island in order to face “better competition,” Richards has only been playing organized basketball for two years.
