Duke Adds David Robinson’s Son (UPDATED)

4_3308769Duke has added David Robinson’s son Justin Robinson for next season, according to Duke.247sports.com.

The 6-foot-7 Robinson was admitted to Duke in the Class of 2019. He was initially a preferred walk-on but will now be on scholarship.

“I’m happy to get early decision from Duke since it is so amazing academically,” he told the site. “It’s been a long time dream for me. The opportunity to be a preferred walk-on is exciting and I’m looking forward to being a part of the Duke Basketball tradition.”

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski once coach David Robinson on the 1992 Dream Team, as the site noted.

Duke has a five-man recruiting class for 2015, including point guard Derryck Thornton, who reclassed from 2016; shooting guard Luke Kennard; forwards Brandon Ingram and Chase Jeter and 6-11 big man Antonio Vrankovic.
