Kansas State Decommit Eric Cobb Focusing on VCU, South Carolina & Seton Hall (UPDATED)

LCEZiFbM_reasonably_smallAfter decommitting from Kansas State on Sunday, 6-foot-9 power forward Eric Cobb of Baltimore (MD) St. Frances is focusing on three schools.

“He picked up three [offers Tuesday], South Carolina, VCU and Seton Hall,” Nick Myles, Cobb’s coach at St. Frances, told SNY.tv by phone on Wednesday.

Cobb ended up visiting Seton Hall on Thursday, Myles confirmed, and will visit VCU on Monday.

Myles said Cobb had no timeframe on a decision.

“No, not really, he just wants to make an informed decision as quick as we can, he wants to get a chance to meet the coaches and do what’s best,” Myles said.

“The [schools] that are going to come now are the ones that are truly interested.”

Other schools could also be in the mix.

“He’s not locked into anything, he’s still open,” he said.

Wherever he goes, Cobb will be a true low-post big man, Myles said.

“Wherever he goes, there aren’t too many kid like him,” he said. “There aren’t too many centers left. There aren’t too many back-to-the-basket guys, and that’s what he is. He’s a pure traditional big.”
