Kodye Pugh Reclassifying to 2017, Transferring to Blair Academy

Kodye PughBy JOSH NEWMAN

A top-150 recruit from the Class of 2016 is reclassifying to 2017 and transferring to a New Jersey power.

Kodye Pugh, a 6-foot-7 small forward from Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, will move down to the Class of 2017 and head North to play for Blair Academy and head coach Joe Mantegna, his AAU coach with We R1, Terrell Myers, told SNY. tv.

“He is a super-skilled with a huge upside,” Myers said. “In my eyes, that makes him one of the top three wings in his class. KP is fairly young for his grade. The extra year will help him develop physically and emotionally.

“He is an exception student and has qualified academically.”

According to Myers, Pugh has offers from Georgetown, Northwestern, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Temple, George Washington, Princeton, George Mason, Richmond, Rice and St. Joseph’s.
