Jaylen Brown to Visit Michigan This Week

Jaylen BrownJaylen Brown will likely make his long-awaited visit to Michigan on Thursday and Friday, a source with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed to SNY.tv after it was reported by Sam Webb of Scout.com.

As previously reported by SNY.tv, the 6-foot-7 wing out of Marietta (GA) Wheeler has family connections to Michigan.

“I’ve got a lot of family up there and so it’s gonna be a little reunion while I’m there,” Brown wrote in his USA Today blog. “A lot of them went to Michigan and Michigan State so I’m really excited to see the campus and see my people.

The projected No. 1 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by Draft Express.com, Brown is also considering Kentucky, Kansas, UCLA, North Carolina, Georgia and Georgia Tech. He will sign in the late period.

“After the season, I’ll know when I’ll want to make my decision,” he wrote in his blog. “I set that as a goal for myself; I’m not saying I’ll know where but, I feel like I’ll know when I’ll want to have a decision by.”

Last week, Brown hit two foul shots with .5 seconds left to help Marietta (GA) Wheeler win the Georgia High School AAAAAA State Championship with a 59-58 win over Pebblebrook. He finished with 22 points in that game.

UCLA assistant David Grace was in the stands.
