Rawle Alkins Drops Triple-Double In Front of Mark Gottfried, Tom Crean

RawleRawle Alkins went for a triple-double Wednesday night in front of N.C. State head coach Mark Gottfried and Indiana head coach Tom Crean.

Alkins, the 6-foot-5 2016 guard from Christ the King, put up 13 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in a  69-66 win at Long Island Lutheran.

“He is everything you want your star player to be, tough, unselfish and a leader,” CTK coach Joe Arbitello told SNY.tv.

N.C. State assistant Rob Moxley and Indiana assistant Chuck Martin were also in attendance, as were Iona head coach Tim Cluess and Rutgers’ assistant Van Macon.

Christ the King sophomore point guard Jose Alvarado went for 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the win. Tyrone King tallied 17 points and 8 rebounds, and Jared Rivers added 11 points.

Devonte Green, Long Island Lutheran’s 2016 guard and the younger brother of Spurs shooting guard Danny Green, scored 18 points in the loss.
