Anthony Davis Guarantees Kentucky Will Win NCAA Championship

He’s not exactly extending himself out on a big limb, but Anthony Davis is guaranteeing that his former team, the Kentucky Wildcats, will win the NCAA championship in April.

“The team who will win the NCAA Tournament in 2015 is the one and only best team in the world, University of Kentucky Wildcats,” Davis said in this Red Bull video. “That’s a guarantee. Kentucky Wildcats, bleed blue.”

He’s not exactly putting himself out there since No. 1 Kentucky is 16-0 after mauling Missouri Tuesday night and is just about everybody’s favorites to cut down the nets in Indianapolis.

Davis won an NCAA title with Kentucky in 2012 and then became the No. 1 pick in the draft. This team, even though it’s loaded with nine McDonald’s All-Americans, must prove it can follow suit.

“Until they get a ring, they can’t say anything,” Davis said. “And that goes for the 2011 team, the 2013 team, any year’s team, it doesn’t matter.”
