6-Foot-10 Mohamed Bamba Adds Villanova, Maryland Offers

Mohamed Bamba, a 6-foot-10 2017 power forward from Norristown (PA) Westtown and the PSA Cardinals, has picked up offers from the head coaches of Maryland and Villanova, PSA Cardinals coach Terrance “Munch” Williams told SNY.tv.

Maryland offered on Monday, and Villanova on Tuesday.

He previously had offers from Seton Hall, Temple, James Madison, Penn State, Rice and Yale.

“Mohammed Bamba has everything he needs to be an NBA player,” Westtown coach Seth Berger recently told SNY.tv. “Talent, intelligence, the ability and desire to learn, length and hand-eye coordination. If he  doesn’t get there, he will make a major impact off the court in the world.”

“Mohammed has demonstrated consistent growth in the last 12 months,” PSA Cardinals coach Mark Carter said. “He is putting himself in a position to be the next top 20 forward to come out of the PSA program.

“College coaches are noticing his development mixed in with potential, thus leaving them to view him as a high-major prospect on the basketball court. Count the fact that he has a great academic foundation and you can see why the sky is the limit for the young fella.”
