Mizzou Transfer Biedschied to Iona

CameronMissouri transfer Cameron Biedschied is headed to Iona.

The 6-foot-7 Biedschied will arrive at the MAAC school at the semester break and will apply for a hardship waiver.

“[They have] great teammates and staff and [it’s a] real brotherhood,” Biedschied told SNY.tv. “It’s a new great opportunity to showcase my talent and help us win games.”

The Gatorade 2012 Missouri High School Player of the Year, Biedschied transferred to Missouri from Notre Dame but never played a game for the Tigers.

He averaged 6.2 points in 17.4 minutes during his freshman year of 2012-13 with the Irish.

Iona was the preseason favorite to win the MAAC and Biedschied would be a huge addition if he’s cleared to play in January 2015.
