Derrick Jones Announcing on Thursday

Derrick JonesDerrick Jones, a 6-foot-7 wing forward from Radnor (PA) Archbishop Carroll, will announce his college choice Thursday on ESPNU from 6-7 p.m, Adam Finkelstein reports.

Jones will join Isaiah Briscoe and Skal Labissiere in revealing their college choices at that time.

Jones is down to UNLV, Auburn and  UConn.

Jones recently visited UNLV for  the Scarlet & Gray Showcase and enjoyed it.

“I know a couple of the players so that’s one thing that attracted me down to the school,” he told COBL.com “Rashad Vaughn, Goodluck [Okonoboh], Dwayne Morgan, and they got a transfer from Rutgers, Jerome [Seagears].

“And after them, I got to know a couple more players; one of the kids from California named Kendall [Smith], so I already got to know a lot of them.”

UConn, meantime, is also in play for Briscoe and Tevin Mack, who will announce separately on Thursday, while Auburn made a late push for Jones.
