Recruiting Roundup: Briscoe Visits St. John’s Practice, Will Trim to 3; Diamond Stone to Visit Wisconsin and UConn; Ivan Rabb to Host Carolina; Tevin Mack Nearing Decision

BriscoeMSG3Isaiah Briscoe visited St. John’s practice Tuesday at Madison Square Garden and plans to  cut his list to three schools on Saturday before making his final decision.

The visit to St. John’s was first reported by NJ Advance Media and confirmed to SNY.tv by a source. (The picture is courtesy @gionysports.)

Briscoe said by text and Twitter that he will cut to three on Saturday.

“We’re just talking as a family right now and just trying to do this thing,” George Briscoe said. “There will only be three schools and then that’s going to be a wrap.

“That will be the plan, to get three and then decide.”

The 6-foot-3 Roselle (N.J.) Catholic point guard is coming off a successful visit to St. John’s and has also tripped to UConn, Kentucky, Missouri and Seton Hall. His father said they had yet to cut the list down.

It’s unclear if Briscoe will pull the trigger for the fall signing period Nov. 12-19, or extend the process until the spring.

“I don’t know that part,” the elder Briscoe said.

STONE TO VISIT WISCONSIN, UCONN

Diamond Stone will visit Wisconsin this weekend and then UConn before announcing his college choice Nov. 12, according to Mark Miller.

The 6-foot-10 Stone visited Maryland this past weekend for their Midnight Madness and has also tripped to Oklahoma State.

Those are his final four after trimming Duke from his list.

IVAN RABB TO HOST CAROLINA

Ivan Rabb will host North Carolina’s coaches on Wednesday, his high school coach told SNY.tv.

UNC’s previous visit with the 6-10 Oakland (CA) Bishop O’Dowd big man was postponed.

Rabb is considering Arizona, Cal, UCLA, Georgetown, Duke, Kansas and Kentucky as well, but he previously told SNY.tv Cal and Kentucky would definitely make his final list.

He has yet to set officials.

MACK NEARING DECISION

Tevin Mack, a 6-7 small forward from Columbia (S.C.) Dreher, will reportedly announce soon.

He is considering Georgia, VCU, UConn, South Carolina and Clemson.

Georgia leads with 77 percent of the 247Sports’ predictions.
