As expected, 6-foot-10 St. Thomas More big man Steven Enoch committed to UConn Saturday night during his official visit.
“I will be playing College Basketball at The University of Connecticut as of next season #UConn #Huskies” he Tweeted.
Back in July, Enoch told SNY.tv he grew up a UConn fan.
“Growing up I’ve always wanted to play at UConn and my family wanted me to,” he said at the Reebok Classic Breakout. “And they’ve all been fans of UConn. Now that I have [a scholarship offer] I gotta take it slow because I really have to study their program.”

Following school visits this past week by SMU head coach Larry Brown and UCLA assistant Ed Schilling, 7-foot-4 Jean Marc Christ Koumadje of Montverde (FL) Academy is planning to visit both schools in the near future.
Koumadje will visit SMU Sept. 25-27 and is looking to visit UCLA in October.
Koumadje — whose journey to the U.S. from the African nation of Chad we profiled this summer — has already visited Florida State and is expected to decide between those three schools.

Following in-home visits this week from Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, N.C. State and UCLA, Brandon Ingram has three Midnight Madness trips planned.
The 6-foot-8 forward from Kinston (N.C.) will hit Midnight Madness at North Carolina (Oct. 3), Kansas (Oct. 10) and Kentucky (Oct. 17), with the latter two serving as official visits.
“We’re going to Late Night With Roy Oct. 3, Oct. 10 we’re going to fly to Kansas [for Late Night in the Phog] and then Oct. 17 we’re going to go to Kentucky [for Big Blue Madness],” Donald Ingram, Brandon’s father, told SNY.tv.
Ingram is also considering Duke but Donald said he hadn’t heard from them because Coach K is leading Team USA in the FIBA World Cup of Basketball in Spain.
Alex Illikainen, a 6-9 power forward from Brewster (N.H.) Academy, is down to Iowa and Wisconsin, Brewster coach Jason Smith told SNY.tv.
He has visited Iowa and will trip to Wisconsin next weekend.
“He’s pretty much down to those two,” Smith told SNY.tv. “Alex has said he’s said pretty content with those two schools. He’s perfectly content with the two schools remaining.”
One source — not Smith — told SNY.tv they expect Illikainen to land at Wisconsin.
