Louisville Set for Home Visit With Dozier; Kentucky Meeting Blakeney (UPDATED)

After parting ways with Antonio Blakeney following his decommitment, Louisville has zeroed in on P.J Dozier, a 6-foot-5 two guard out of Columbia (S.C.) Spring Valley.

Louisville head coach Rick Pitino and assistant Kenny Johnson will have a home visit with Dozier tonight (Wednesday).

“I talked to Coach Kenny, and they just want to come down and sit down and talk and start the process over again,” Perry Dozier, Sr. who coaches his son, told the Louisville Courier-Journal. “We wouldn’t have them come in if (P.J.) wasn’t (interested).”

Dozier is also considering North Carolina, Michigan, Georgetown and South Carolina, with the Tar Heels the presumed favorite on 247Sports.

“He said, ‘Dad, until I go on my visits, that’s the only way I’ll know if it’s a fit for me,'” Dozier Sr. told the Courier-Journal. “People can predict all day, but there would be a lot of people winning the lottery if they knew what they were talking about, right? North Carolina has done a great job, but again, we haven’t taken an official visit there. At one time, people said it would be South Carolina because he would be at home. Now people are saying it’s going to Georgetown because it’s close to my home (of Baltimore). There’s a lot of projections and predictions, and people can do that all they want. But I do know this – that P.J. is going through the process the correct way. I’ll be glad when it’s over with, but however long it takes to make the decision, I don’t want him to look back after he makes it.”

Meantime, Blakeney is having a home visit Wednesday with Kentucky coach John Calipari, who will also visit with five-star center Udoka Azubuike in Florida, according to Kentucky.com.

Blakeney will reportedly also meet this week with  LSU, Missouri and USC.
