Poyser Enjoys Rhody Visit; UNLV, Oklahoma Next

Jalen Poyser, a 6-foot-4 point guard from Canada’s Athlete Institute and CIA Bounce, enjoyed his weekend official visit to Rhode Island.

Next up are officials to UNLV (TBD) and Oklahoma Oct. 3-5.

“The visit was very good,” Mark Poyser, the player’s father, told SNY.tv. “We enjoyed it immensely. Coach [Luke] Murray and [Dan] Hurley and staff gave us their ‘A game in terms of hosting us. Lots of fantastic information to process. Rhode Island is top class.”

He added: “No UNLV date set yet. Coach [Dave] Rice and [Todd] Simon will be coming back to AI and then we will set the date shortly after.”

Rhode Island is also involved for Roselle (N.J.) Catholic forward Chris Sillva, who will announce Friday afternoon for Rhody, Seton Hall or South  Carolina.

The Rams are also in the mix for Archbishop Carroll (PA) power forward Ernest Aflakpui, who visits Rhody Sept. 26-28.
