Jalen Poyser, a 6-foot-4 point guard from Canada’s Athlete Institute and CIA Bounce, has set two official visits, his father told SNY.tv.
Poyser will visit Rhode Island Sept. 12-14 and Oklahoma Oct. 3-5, CIA Bounce coach Mark Poyser said.
A previously planned visit to Hawaii was postponed.
Other schools will come to Athlete Institute beginning this week to watch him work out.
“Jalen is looking for a team that needs what he brings as a player,” his father said. “He wants to be needed wherever he goes. He wants to step in immediately and fill a void and make an impact on the program.
“He’s an athletic guard who can run the floor well, score the ball, see the floor well and can defend. So the team that he goes to must push the ball in transition and get up and down the floor. Guards must have freedom within the offense. That’s why I’ve requested tapes from every school who’s recruiting him and Jalen and I are doing our homework. That’s our process to narrow it down and find a fit.”
