Brown, Jeter Win Co-MVPs in Elite 24

2014 Under Armour Elite 24Uncommitted small forward Jaylen Brown went for 23 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists and Duke-bound big man Chase Jeter piled up 17 points and 15 rebounds as Team Liberty beat Team Freedom, 127-116, in the 9th Annual UA Elite 24 Saturday night in Brooklyn.

Jeter’s 15 rebounds set the record for the highest single-game total since the game’s inception in 2006.

Uncommitted shooting guard Antonio Blakeney, who will visit Louisville next weekend, added 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting for Team Liberty.

Jawun Evans, who has visits set to USC and Illinois, had a near-double-double of 9 points and 10 assists for Team Liberty.

Uncommitted 2016 forward Harry Giles led Team Freedom with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Josh Jackson poured in 18 points.

Also for Team Freedom, Malik Newman scored 17 points, Thon Maker and Terrance Ferguson tallied 12 apiece, Dennis Smith had 11 points and Tyus Battle 10.

Team Liberty actually trailed by nine points at halftime, but a dominant second half saw them outscore Team Freedom 67-47 after the break.
