Malik Beasley Sets Three Officials

Malik Beasley, the 6-foot-4, 190-pound shooting guard from Alpharetta (GA) St. Francis, has set three official visits, according to Paul Biancardi of ESPN.com.

Beasley will visit Florida State Sept. 5-7, VCU Sept. 12-14 and Wake Forest Sept 19-21. Biancardi noted that Beasley is still working visits to St. John’s and Oregon.

He recently took an unofficial to St. John’s while in New York for the Big Strick Classic and it went well.

Beasley last week cut his list to eight schools — St. John’s, UConn, UCLA, Wake Forest, Florida State, Oregon, VCU and Georgia.

Since then, two of those schools have added shooting guards. UCLA got a pledge from former UConn commit Prince Ali, while VCU on Tuesday got a verbal from Kenny Williams.

Beasley told SNY.tv he hopes to decide by November.

“Probably early November, by signing day,” he said.
