Matt Zignorski to Fordham; Japhet Kadji to Wagner

ZiggyPope John’s Matt Zignorski has committed to Fordham.

The 6-foot-3 2015 point guard also had offers from Bucknell, Princeton, American, Monmouth, Penn and Boston University.

“I think he made a tremendous decision,” his high school coach, Jason Hasson, told SNY.tv. “He’s a great student and a great player who continues to get better every day.

“The A-10 is competitive conference and with his ability to score and run a team. He’s going to be a valuable player in that league.”

KADJI TO WAGNER

Japhet Kadji, a 6-7, 210-pound 2014 orward from IMG Academy, committed to Wagner.

Kadji is a stretch four with good size and skills and figures to be an impact player for the Seahawks.

“The coaching staff made me pick Wagner,” he told SNY.tv. “Coach Bashir [Mason], Coach  [Mike] Babul and everyone surrounding them are great guys. I feel like they can make me become a better player.

“The campus was great and the team seems like a very close one. I feel like they built a family and I want to be a part of that. I feel I can bring versatility to Wagner. I can play multiple positions and defend multiple positions.”

He also considered Youngstown State and FAMU.
