Maker Sets Kansas, Mizzou, Duke Visits

Thon Maker has set visits to Kansas Monday (today), Missouri Tuesday and Duke June 30, his guardian, Ed Smith, tells SNY.tv.

Kansas and Missouri have already offered, as have Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis and others. Duke has yet to offer.

As reported here earlier, Maker, the No.  1 prospect in 2016, is targeting January for a decision on whether or not to reclass to 2015, meaning he could ultimately land in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Maker recently played at the Adidas Eurocamp in Italy and the NBA Top 100 camp in Virginia.

“Defensively, he was very good on the ball and exhibited great lateral speed for a player at 7 feet,” Smith said of the Italy trip. “His areas of improvement are functional and core strength related and team defensive concepts related. Both of these areas we will address in the upcoming high school season as I seek to improve his high school coaching experience.”
