Donovan Mitchell Targeting September Decision

WEST ORANGE, N.J. — Donovan Mitchell, a 6-foot-3 2015 shooting guard from Brewster (N.H.) Academy, confirmed to SNY.tv he’s targeting a September announcement for his college choice.

“Sometime in September,” Mitchell said Saturday at the Mary Kline Classic at West Orange High School. “That way I can focus on academics and what schools are coming to watch.”

Mitchell holds offers from Providence, Creighton, Boston College, Xavier, Georgia Tech, St. John’s, Seton Hall, Florida and UConn, and has interest from Kansas.

He did say that UConn is now of more interest with the decommitment of 2015 guard Prince Ali, but he hasn’t cut his list.

“As of right now, no,” he said. “Maybe the next month or so. I haven’t really decided to do that but I will lel you konw when I do.

“I’m just waiting to play the AAU circuit and hopefully go from there.”
