Jordan Tucker: Next Up in New York

SUWANEE, Ga.-  Jordan Tucker just may be the next big thing in New York.

A 6-foot-6 rising sophomore at White Plains (N.Y.) High School, Tucker is one of the top wings in the class of 2016 thanks to his versatility and his ability to shoot the basketball. He is a smooth and efficient wing who makes the game look extremely easy.

“My goal is to get Mr. Basketball next year,” Tucker told SNY.tv. “Adding weight is something that I will work on though.”

A new member of the New York Lightning 16U, Tucker feels like he can show what he does best on a regular basis.

“Shooting is my strength, it’s what I do best,” Tucker told SNY.tv. “I want to be able to showcase that. I’m a tall lanky guard, I can put the ball on the floor when I need to. I can rebound and make plays as well. I get a little bit more of a green light to shoot.”

Currently ranked No.8 in the Class of 2017 by Future 150, Tucker has fielded offers from Villanova, Xavier, Providence, Oklahoma, Manhattan, Detroit and Fordham.

Tucker has had a solid weekend in Georgia so far, leading the Lightning to a 3-0 record, winning their pool. Tucker and the Lightning will look to move to 4-0 with a win Sunday night at 6 p.m.
