Nevada Transfer Huff to Creighton

Cole Huff, a 6-foot-8 forward, will transfer to Creighton from Nevada and will have two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out next season due to NCAA transfer rules.

“Proud to announce that I will be spending my last years of college basketball at Creighton University,” he Tweeted.

Huff chose Creighton over Iowa, which he visited this weekend. He also cancelled visits to Michigan and Dayton.

“The Creighton visit was good as well,” Clint Parks, Huff’s AAU coach, told SNY.tv. “The coaches did a good job of showing him how he would be used and their style of play is very up and down as well .”

As a sophomore last season, Huff averaged 12.4 points and 5.4 rebounds.

Creighton, which joined the Big East beginning last season, previously landed former Boston University point guard Maurice Watson.
