KISS shakaGene Simmons and Paul Stanley have discussed replacing themselves with new members in Kiss “and having Kiss continue to the end of time,” according to the cover story of the new Rolling Stone.

“Physically, I won’t be able to do this into my seventies,” the 64-year-old Simmons told the magazine. “I’m 64 now. Three more tours. Two, if I have a life change of some kind.”

Simmons and Stanley are the only original members of the band formed in 1973 still with Kiss, which will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday but won’t perform at the event at Barclays Center.

Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer have replaced Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, yet continue to wear the original makeup of those two.

GordonUMass redshirt sophomore guard Derrick Gordon has made history by coming out as the first openly gay male college basketball player.

Gordon, a Plainfield, N.J., native whose time at St. Patrick High School in New Jersey alongside NBA players Kyrie Irving and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was documented in the film “Prayer For a Perfect Season,“ made the landmark announcement on ESPN and in an ESPNW story.

“I was thinking about summer plans and just being around my teammates and how it was going to be,” Gordon told ESPNW. “I just thought, ‘Why not now? Why not do it in the offseason when it’s the perfect time to let my teammates know and everybody know my sexuality.”

OllieWhen Roselle (N.J.) Catholic coaches Dave Boff and Tommy Sacks booked UConn coach Kevin Ollie for their Coaches’ Clinic, they had no idea they would be hosting the coach of the NCAA champions.

But fresh off winning UConn’s fourth national championship Monday night in Arlington, Texas, Ollie is slated to appear at the New Jersey school on Friday. The clinic benefits St. Joseph the Carpenter Church.

“To have Coach Ollie of the National Champions at the NJ Coaches’ Clinic takes the event to another level,” Boff told SNY.tv.

“He is young, energetic and I think people are very excited to see him speak not only about Xs and Os but also hopefully about the run UConn just had.”

Joining Ollie will be SMU coach Larry Brown, St. John’s coach Steve Lavin, Temple coach Fran Dunphy, Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin, N.C. State coach Mark Gottfried and Miami coach Jim Larranaga.

Towns 3The Mary Kline Classic announced its star-filled roster for the 4th annual charity event, which takes place on Saturday, May 31 at West Orange High School in West Orange, NJ.

Following a tremendous third year in which $27,000 was raised for cancer research, and featured Mary Kline Classic alumni Jermaine Lawrence, Kuran Iverson, Tyler Roberson, Rysheed Jordan and Josh Hart, among others, the next generation of student-athletes will take the floor in a nationally comprised game. Other previous alumni include NBA Draft entry Tyler of Ennis of Syracuse, Wayne Selden of Kansas, Rondae Jefferson of Arizona, Georges Niang of Iowa State, Khem Birch of UNLV and many more.

Embiid2Joel Embiid will announce his plans to enter the NBA Draft during a press conference with Kansas coach Bill Self on Wednesday at 2 p.m central time, multiple sources told SNY.tv.

“He’s coming out,” one NBA source said. “Shouldn’t be a surprise. He’s a lock for the Top 5.”

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reported March 27th that Embiid would enter the NBA Draft. The 7-foot Embiid then took to Twitter to say he hadn’t yet made up his mind.

DraftExpress.com has Embiid projected as the No. 2 pick behind fellow Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins, meaning Kansas could go 1-2 in the Draft just as Kentucky did in 2012 with Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
