Boston College has agreed to a deal in principle with Jim Christian. The news was first reported by ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.

Christian, former head coach at Kent State, TCU and Ohio University, will lead an Eagles team that finished with a 8-24 (4-14) record which included a win over Syracuse.

In Christian’s two years at Ohio University, the Bobcats went 49-23, including 25-12 this past season.

Several other names had been linked to the BC job, including Syracuse assistant Mike Hopkins and St. Bonaventure head coach Mark Schmidt.
