Tyler Lewis, Jackson Davis Visit Butler

Tyler LewisN.C. State transfer Tyler Lewis and uncommitted senior forward Jackson Davis both visited Butler this week and came away feeling good about their visits.

“My visit went extremely well,” the 5-foot-11 Lewis told SNY.tv. “I really like the way they play and have a lot of respect for the coaching staff.”

A 2012 McDonald’s All-American, Lewis averaged 4.4 points and 3.8 assists this past season at N.C. State,  setting a school record and finishing second in the ACC with a 3.55:1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

The 6-foot-8 Davis out of Lexington (Ky.) Lafayette tripped to Butler Sunday-Tuesday and his father, Johnathon, said they had a “great visit.”

“They offer a great combination of academics and opportunity,” he said. “Butler is the kind of place a kid like Jackson could thrive.”

Jackson’s next visit is to Vanderbilt April 11, before planned trips to Alabama, Creighton and Arizona State.

Johnathan Davis said his son did not meet up with Lewis on the visit but that they met three years ago at an iHoops event and “hit it off.”
