Kentucky-Bound Towns and St. Joe’s Seeded No. 1 in New Jersey TOC

Kentucky signee Karl-Anthony Towns and St. Joe’s-Metuchen were seeded No. 1 in the New Jersey Tournament of Champions, which begins Tuesday at the Pine Belt Arena in Toms River, N.J.

Following St. Joe’s are No. 2 Newark East Side, No. 3 Roselle Catholic, No. 4 Linden, No. 5 Pitman and No. 6 Newark Tech.

Roselle Catholic beat Towns and St. Joe’s in last year’s final.

St. Joe’s and Newark East Side will receive byes for the quarterfinal round while Roselle Catholic will play Newark Tech and Linden, which features Cincinnati pledge Quadri Moore, will play Pitman.

The first game will be Linden-Pitman at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with Roselle Catholic-Newark Tech immediately following it.

The semifinals take place on Thursday at Monmouth University, with the championship game set for March 24 at Sun National Bank Arena in Trenton.
