Georgetown Latest to Offer Govan

Georgetown is the latest school to offer 2015 Wings Academy big man Jessie Govan.

“They told my coach after [today’s] game that they would like to offer me and my coach told me,” Govan told SNY.tv. “I might take a trip down there soon.”

Georgetown, of course, has a long tradition of big men, including Patrick Ewing, Dikembe Mutombo and Alonzo Mourning.

“They have a history of a lot of great bigs there,” he said. “It’s a privilege to have them offer me.”

Seton Hall, UConn, Louisville and Miami are among those also in hot pursuit of the 6-foot-10, 260-pound Govan. He is ranked No. 48 in the Class of 2015 by Rivals.

He attended last week’s SMU-UConn game, as well.

“It was a good environment,” he said. “It was good to take a trip down there for a game.”
