Georgetown Latest to Offer Chris Silva

UNION, N.J. — Georgetown is the latest program to offer Chris Silva, a 6-foot-8 forward from Roselle (N.J.) Catholic after Silva went off for 22 points and 15 rebounds with a slew of dunks Saturday night in an 82-65 loss to Montverde (FL) Academy.

Silva also had two clean blocks on LSU-bound forward Ben Simmons of Montverde.

“His upside right now, he’s playing with that enthusiasm that he had last year when he first came and he was running the floor and blocking shots,” RC assistant Tommy Sacks told SNY.tv.

“I told him, ‘Do what you do best,'” Sacks said. “Your offense will catch up to your game but rebound, defend, block shots and run the court. And that’s what he’s starting to do again.”

Silva also holds offers from Syracuse, SMU, Cincinnati, Villanova, Creighton, N.C. State, Miami, Rutgers and Seton Hall.

“After the season, we’re going to start setting up some official visits,” Sacks said.
