Hey, what’s up?

So far the season has been going well even though we got off to a rough start. During Christmas Break, we traveled to California to play in the Torrey Pines Tournament. We battled some of the top teams in the country and we were able to hold our own. We, as a team, spent a lot of time together in California which has helped our team chemistry and it definitely shows on the court.

We’ve added a few pieces with [Seton Hall signee] Angel Delgado and Dupree McBrayer and they are both terrific teammates. It’s taken some weight off of my shoulders because defenses now have to worry about everyone on the court and floor spacing is much more balanced. The two of them also bring some experience to the team being seniors. As of now, I believe we are on a 7-game winning streak and I am happy with the growth that we have shown as a team. We still have a long way to go until the season ends and many goals to accomplish.

This year, I’ve been working on becoming more of a complete Point Guard. I’ve been making a conscious effort of running my team and controlling the tempo of the game; I don’t allow defenses to speed me up. Getting all of my teammates involved and playing defense are my two biggest improvements this season.

Right now, I have offers from Seton Hall, Rutgers, Auburn, and others. I’ve also picked up new interest from Creighton, USC, UCLA, and Alabama. I’ve been to Seton Hall a couple of times so far but I don’t have any visits planned right now. I’m pretty sure I’ll be visiting a lot of schools this summer, but I’m just focusing on playing ball and winning the TOC!

This season should be a goodie!
