Sterling Gibbs to Return for Seton Hall

Seton Hall point guard Sterling Gibbs will return Friday night when the Pirates host Lafayette.

“Yes, Sterling’s full-go,” head coach Kevin Willard said Friday. “He looks really good. He’s had two good days of practice.”

Willard said Gibbs would have been available Sunday in case of emergency when the team beat Eastern Washington.

Gibbs suffered a knee injury Dec. 14 in a loss to St. Peter’s, but it was later revealed that he suffered a hyperextension and a bruised right knee and was expected to miss 1-2 weeks.

Friday will mark 13 days since the injury.

Willard revealed that center Aaron Geramipoor had “re-tweaked his ankle [Thursday] in practice. He had been looking good.”

“That’s going to be maybe another week or so for Aaron,” Willard said.

Willard said Patrik Auda (foot) “looks good” and Fuquan Edwin (ankle) is “generally improved.”

“Everybody looks pretty good besides Aaron who re-tweaked his ankle [Thursday],” Willard said.
