Canadian big man Chris Egi is headed to the Ivy League.

The 6-foot-8, 215-pound center from CIA Bounce and Montverde (FL) Academy committed to Harvard following his official visit this weekend.

Egi joins 6-5 Norcross (GA) shooting guard Andre Chatfield, who also committed to Harvard Sunday.

“I’m proud to say I will be attending Harvard University in the upcoming school year. God truly is good,” Egi Tweeted.

“It’s a great combination of basketball and school,” Egi told SNY.tv.

Egi also considered Vanderbilt, Cal, Washington and Stanford.

“Chris will bring Harvard an outstanding, hard-working skilled big man who is a true competitor and will do huge things at Harvard,” CIA Bounce coach Tony McIntyre told SNY.tv.

Donnie Jones has struck again. 

Adonys Henriquez and Chad Brown have committed to the University of Central Florida.

Henriquez announced on Sunday that he had committed to Jones and the Knights, joining BJ Taylor in the class of 2014. That comes three days after Brown had announced that he would be joining top players in Florida, Alex Owens and Corey Sanders in the class of 2015.

Henriquez tweeted his commitment on Sunday:  “Nothing like staying home I’m officially a UCF knight. #ToGodBeTheGlory #chargeon

John Mooney, a 6-foot-9 2016 power forward from Altamonte (FL) Lake Brantley High School , verbally committed to Florida Saturday.

Nike Team Florida Tweeted: “Huge congratulations to 2016 NTF Forward Johnny Mooney @jmoon32 on his commitment to Billy Donovan & the Florida Gators! NTFamily!”

Mooney averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds last season and was just the third freshman ever to play varsity at Lake Brantley.
