Carlton Bragg to Visit Kentucky

Carlton Bragg, one of the top prospects in the Class of 2015, will visit Kentucky unofficially on Friday.

Bragg is a 6-foot-8 2015 power forward from Cleveland Villa Angela St. Joseph.

“We’re actually going to the John Lucas basketball camp that same weekend [in Louisville] so John [Calipari] and Orlando [Antigua] asked us if we could just pop over for an hour, just to look around and peep our head in and stuff like that,” Bragg’s mentor, Michael Graves, told SNY.tv.

“We’re going to stop at Kentucky, stop in, look around a little bit.

Kentucky is one of many schools pursuing Bragg. He also planned to attend today’s Ohio State football game.

“We’ve been in contact [with Kentucky] over the last four or five months,” Graves said. “They were calling every other week  just to check on Carlton’s progress and to see how he’s doing in school and stuff like that.”

Bragg holds offers from UCLA, Michigan State, Ohio State, Illinois, Georgetown, Cincinnati, Dayton, Texas, West Virginia, Indiana, Cleveland State and DePaul.

“UCLA and West Virginia have picked up the pace a little bit,” Graves said. “Illinois is right there, DePaul, Indiana. Everybody’s been calling and checking in.

“Penn State called and they’re going to come out Sunday. Rutgers has been there. And Texas is going to come next week.”

In the meantime, Bragg is focusing on his academics in order to stay on pace for college.

“We’re still trying to just plan some things out,” Graves said. “We’re getting ready for the school season and trying to focus on some things at home and make sure he stays in the books.”
