Tyler Ulis’s visit to Kentucky could not have worked out better for him.
“He got an offer,” his father, James Ulis, confirmed by phone to SNY.tv.
“He’s happy. It’s Kentucky.”
Kentucky recently expressed interest in the 5-foot-9 point guard from Chicago Marian Catholic, but hadn’t offered prior to Friday’s unofficial visit.
Kentucky has now offered three point guards in the Class of 2014 — Tyus Jones, Emmanuel Mudiay and Ulis.
Jones and Mudiay will both take officials, and now so will Ulis.
“Yes, we will take an official, yes,” James Ulis said.
Ulis is also considering USC, Iowa and Michigan State.
“It doesn’t matter where I go,” Ulis told SNY.tv earlier this summer. “I don’t really have to stay in the area of Illinois because I’m actually from Ohio. It’s just wherever fits best.
“Hopefully, if I get the right pieces around me I can be pretty good. I’m a pass first point guard and hopefully that will open it up for me.”
