Tyler Ulis will visit Kentucky Friday, Dave Telep of ESPN.com reported.
Kentucky recently expressed interest in the 5-foot-9 point guard from Chicago Marian Heights High School, but had yet to offer him.
Ulis recently cut his list to four schools: Michigan State, Iowa, USC and Kentucky.
Kentucky coach John Calipari has offered just two point guards in the Class of 2014 in Tyus Jones and Emmanuel Mudiay.
Meantime, Michigan State is reportedly shifting its focus to Ulis from Jones after Jones announced he wasn’t planning to take an official to MSU.
Jones Tweeted he would take officials to Baylor Aug 30-Sept 1, Kentucky Sept 27-29, Kansas Oct 18-20 and Duke Oct 25-27.
Jones and fellow Minnesotan Reid Travis took an unofficial to Minnesota on Tuesday. They and fellow Minnesota star Rashad Vaughn are huge priorities for Minnesota head coach Richard Pitino.
Jones has said he plans to announce by November, and is expected to attend the same program as his close friend, 6-10 Chicago big man Jahlil Okafor.
Minnesota is not on Okafor’s list.
