NEW YORK — Brooklyn Lincoln guard Isaiah Whitehead is planning to commit this fall.
“I’ll probably commit right before senior year,” the 6-foot-4 Whitehead told SNY.tv at the Big Strick Classic, also telling the New York Post he will probably pull the trigger by November.
Whitehead said in the above video he’s considering Syracuse, Arizona, UCLA, Miami and Minnesota, among others, but later Friday he Tweeted that he was offered by Indiana.
The Indiana offer comes the same week that fellow 2014 shooting guard James Blackmon decommitted from the Hoosiers and added a Kentucky offer.
“It’s a lot [of schools],” Whitehead said.
Asked when he might take visits, Whitehead said, “Early August.”
Miami recently got a pledge from Philadelphia point guard Ja’Quan Newton, who has discussed a potential package with Whitehead.
“Definitely Miami is a school I’m considering so it’s a possibility,” Whitehead said.
