Pinson, Russell Complete Strong Summers With Adidas Nations Title

North Carolina-bound wing Theo Pinson completed a brilliant summer performance Monday night by winning the Adidas Nations championship.

Pinson went for 15 points and 7 rebounds to help lead the USA Blue team to an 81-77 victory over USA Red in Los Angeles.

Pinson this summer has now won the Adidas Nations, while also leading USA South to the finals of the Nike Global Challenge and the CP3 All-Stars to the finals of Peach Jam.

Reid Travis added 14 points in the win, Ohio State commit D’Angelo Russell had 11 and uncommitted 2014 forward Trey Lyles 10.

Russell also enjoyed a remarkable summer. He won Peach Jam with E1T1 and reached the finals of the Nike Global Challenge with USA South.

For USA Red, uncommited wing Stanley Johnson, who won the Global Challenge with USA West, had 17 and 11. He reiterated on air after the game to Dave Telep that he will take officials to Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona, Oregon and Florida, and unofficials to USC and UCLA.

Jahlil Okafor added 14 and 8 in the loss and held Myles Turner to 6 points and 4 rebounds. Kevon Looney scored 13 for Red and Trevon Bluiett 11.
