If you think the Kentucky point guard situation for 2014 was interesting before, it just got a little bit more intriguing.
James Ulis,. the father of 2014 Chicago Heights (IL) Marian Catholic point guard Tyler Ulis, confirmed that Kentucky is recruiting his son.
“No offer, but we will go see them,” James Ulis told SNY.tv by text.
The Chicago Sun-Times and the Hoops Report previously reported Kentucky’s interest in the 5-foot-8 Ulis, who currently lists Michigan State, Purdue, DePaul, Northwestern, Iowa, Florida State and USC.
Kentucky has offered two 2014 point guards in Tyus Jones, who may end up at Duke, and Emmanuel Mudiay, who is also considering Baylor, SMU and N.C. State, among others.
The Wildcats are also in the final five for Huntington (W.V.) Prep point guard Josh Perkins, but have not yet offered him.
